Creating a strong presence at a trade show requires thoughtful investment – in both design and long-term usability.
For leading Australian steel rollformer Lysaght, trade shows are an integral part of their marketing strategy. Knowing that such events are a significant and recurring investment, Lysaght approached ECHO with the goal of achieving more than just visual impact. The brief was to develop a modular, reusable exhibition stand that could adapt seamlessly across different events and environments.
ECHO undertook extensive research to identify suppliers capable of delivering both durability and flexibility. Working closely with ECHO’s in-house design team, the concept was carefully developed and refined to ensure it aligned with Lysaght’s brand, product range, and practical requirements. While the process required significant time and collaboration, the result delivered lasting value for the client.
Given the nature of Lysaght’s products and the need to showcase key features effectively, the stand incorporated integrated technology. Interactive steel samples were designed to reveal video content when lifted from the display, allowing visitors to see the products in action and enhancing engagement on the stand.
The final solution is a scalable, modular system that can be configured across multiple stand sizes, with flexible options in between. This provides Lysaght with the ability to tailor their presence to suit each event, while maximising return on investment through reuse, reduced material waste, and efficient staff deployment.
The new stand concept has since been used at several trade events nationwide, including the National Bunnings Trade Show, Australian Institute of Architects (AIA) Conference, Building Designers Association of Australia (BDAA) Conference and national Home Shows.
